One crisp, starry night, little Lila Rabbit was baking her favorite blueberry muffin when she realized something was missing. The muffin was gone! She hopped around her cozy burrow, sniffing every corner, but there was no trace of the sweet, warm treat. Her ears drooped, and she sniffled, 'I can't sleep without my muffin.'
Just then, a gentle light shone through the window. It was the moon! 'Hello, Lila,' it said in a soft, silver voice. 'I saw your muffin fly up here. Would you like to come find it?'
Lila's eyes sparkled. 'Yes, please!' She hopped onto a floating leaf and soared up into the sky. The stars twinkled around her, and the moon's glow lit the way. Soon, she landed on a soft, silvery cloud where her muffin sat, warm and waiting.
'Why did it fly here?' Lila asked. The moon smiled. 'Because you were kind to everyone today. Even when the squirrel dropped his acorns, you helped him pick them up. Even when the hedgehog lost her way, you showed her the path. Your kindness made the muffin glow, and it wanted to be near you.'
Lila giggled, hugging the muffin to her chest. 'I'll never forget to be kind, even if I never find another muffin.' As she floated back down to her burrow, the moon whispered, 'That's the most important treat of all.'
Back in her burrow, Lila nibbled her muffin and fell into the sweetest sleep, dreaming of kindness and stars. And every night after that, she looked up at the moon and smiled, knowing it was watching over her, just like she watched over her friends.
