Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Snuggletown, there lived a brave but very sneezy knight named Sir Snuffles. Sir Snuffles was known for his shiny silver armor, his noble heart, and his ability to sneeze so hard he could blow out candles from ten feet away. One day, a strange invention rolled into town—a shiny, noisy machine with buttons that said SNEEZE, SNEEZE, SNEEZE. It was built by a grumpy inventor named Professor Blarnold, who wanted to make everyone in the kingdom sneeze themselves to sleep.
"This is the best invention ever!" said Professor Blarnold, cackling. "No more bedtime stories or lullabies! Just sneezes and sleep!"
But the people of Snuggletown were not happy. They couldn’t fall asleep because they kept sneezing at the most inconvenient times—during dinner, while playing hide-and-seek, and even in the middle of a very important tickle contest. Sir Snuffles heard the commotion and put on his armor, grabbed his sword (which was actually a very long tissue), and set off to stop the sneeze machine.
When Sir Snuffles arrived, the machine was humming and blinking, and the air was full of sneeze dust. He tried to push the big red button labeled "STOP," but it was stuck. Then he had an idea. He sneezed as hard as he could, blowing the machine off its wheels and into a pile of pillows. The machine sputtered and died with a final sneeze that sounded like a cat in a teapot. The people of Snuggletown cheered and gave Sir Snuffles a medal made of bubblegum and bubble wrap.
From that day on, Sir Snuffles became the kingdom’s official sneeze tamer, and the sneeze machine was locked up in the attic, where it would never bother anyone again. And every night, the people of Snuggletown would fall asleep to the sound of lullabies, not sneezes. The end.
